On my way to find some grub this evening I noticed someone was filling that awesome corner space on Hargett just down from Raleigh Times. It wasn't a store or a bar but some local artwork and it was some nice looking stuff. snapped a couple photos, then checked the door only to find it was locked.

Oh well. Headed on across the street. Half way across I heard "HEY!". About that time I saw Tracy Spencer waving me back across and inviting me in. Empire Properties is donating the space to reposition, a local art exhibit featuring works for less than $300. I hesitate to even post this as I want so much of this stuff I saw but they are opening to the general public this Friday.

Here are a few more photos from this weekend. I managed to snag a few good pieces but really wish I had staked my claim a week before. Stuff is going fast.

Amy, I think its all over now. I know that Tracy said they've done other shows in another building loaned by Empire Properties.

Tracy (or another involved artist), can you post a schedule here?
