What happened to JK's Steakhouse and Bistro 607!?

Well I guess I waited too long to try both JK's and Bistro 607 as it looks like both are gone. I certainly have no excuse for the Bistro 607 situation. I've had plenty of years to get in there for a mean and always heard great things about it. I guess I was saving it for a special night, but what about JK's? A friend told me it was the best steak they've had in Raleigh and it didn't even last a year did it?

What about the new tenants at the Bistro 607 location? Has anyone tried the tapas?

Over the weekend I found out from friends that JK's was forced out North Hills by Kane Realty who would not renew their lease because they wanted to bring in a Ruth's Chris steak house.

How stupid is that? I was looking forward to trying JK's but I have no desire to eat at a chain steak house.

JK's will be located in "The Market at Lake Boone Trail" of Lake boone road.

They are reopening soon in a new plaza on Lake Boone Trail called The Market at Lake Boone Trail.

Hey Tony,
If you are still interested in locating Bistro 607, you must go to Globe. The executive chef of Bistro is one in the same at Globe. Location is on Glenwood South. Enjoy!
